Bill Laswell is a composer, bass player, record producer and band leader. He has tons of records, I haven't heard most of them. A couple that I really like are Hallucination Engine and Sacred Sound System Volume II. These are both hypnotic, trance-inducing records blending techno, world music, jazz and all kinds of stuff.
