Ravi Shankar is the most famous (and maybe the greatest) player of the sitar. He has made many records over several decades. Most are of traditional Indian ragas, but also lots of modern collaborations with Western musicians. Ravi's daughter, Anoushka, who learned sitar from him, released her first record in 1998.
